Rules and Policies

A few simple guidelines to help everyone have a safe, relaxing, and five-star stay at Riverbend Lodge.

Check-In & Check-Out

  • Check-in: After 4:00 PM

  • Check-out: By 10:00 AM

We occasionally can accommodate early check-in or late check-out depending on our cleaning schedule—just reach out to ask!

No Events or Parties - Riverbend Lodge is designed for peaceful getaways and meaningful gatherings. Weddings, parties, and organized events are not permitted.

Occupancy - Please respect the maximum guest count listed in your reservation.
This helps us stay in compliance with local regulations and ensures a comfortable experience for everyone.

No Pets - We love animals, but pets are not permitted at the lodge. This helps us maintain the property and ensure consistent cleaning standards.

Respect the Property - Please treat Riverbend Lodge as you would your own home:

  • No smoking inside the home

  • Please clean up after yourselves, especially in shared and outdoor spaces

  • Report any damage or issues promptly so we can address them quickly

Outdoor Amenities & Use at Your Own Risk - We provide access to the natural beauty that makes this place so special, but with that comes responsibility:

  • Kayaks & River Tubes: Available for guest use, but use is at your own risk. River conditions can vary, and life jackets are strongly encouraged.

  • River Access: The Betsie River is beautiful but can be unpredictable. Please supervise children closely.

  • ATV/UTV Trail Access: The lodge offers direct access to nearby trails. We are not responsible for the use of any motorized vehicles on or off the property.

By using these amenities, guests acknowledge and accept all associated risks.

Fire Safety

  • Fires are only permitted in designated fire pit areas

  • Never leave a fire unattended

  • Fully extinguish fires when finished

Rural Setting Considerations - Riverbend Lodge is tucked away in a quiet, natural setting:

  • Cell service may be limited depending on your carrier (we do have high-speed WiFi!)

  • Wildlife is part of the experience—please do not feed or approach animals

  • Weather and seasonal conditions may impact outdoor activities

Neighbors & Quiet Enjoyment - While the property is private, we do have neighbors nearby. Please be respectful of noise levels, especially during evening hours.

Liability - Guests assume all risk and responsibility for:

  • Use of the property and its amenities

  • Participation in outdoor and recreational activities

  • Any accidents, injuries, or loss of personal property during their stay
